Semester 6 Goals
Objective # 3 Caries Case Study
This was my first time doing a Class II composite filling on a patient, and I was honestly really excited. Below are the intraoral photos showing the tooth before treatment, after prepping, and the final result with the composite in place.
There are a lot of important steps when placing a composite, and even a little contamination can affect how well the filling holds up—so I made sure to take my time and follow each step carefully.
Objective #2 Suicide Prevention
Completing suicide prevention certification is incredibly important, not just for healthcare clinicians, but for anyone who interacts with people daily. Mental health struggles often go unnoticed, and many individuals suffer in silence. This training helps increase awareness, reduce stigma, and build the confidence needed to recognize warning signs. Having lost friends and family to suicide, this training can save lives.

Objective #8 Motivational Interviewing
Motivational interviewing has changed the way I connect with patients. Instead of just telling them what to do, it helps me listen, understand what matters to them, and support real, lasting change. It builds trust and makes conversations feel more personal and meaningful, which is so important in healthcare.
